The overarching theme of „Last Words“ is the entropy of existence. So, even though when one is living and feeling full of vitality, one is also on the path toward death and non-existence.
That’s what it means to be immortal. Movies and TV depict death as the last moment before someone expires. „Last Words“ suggests it’s a longer, ongoing process — a sense that’s more or less repressed in contemporary culture. For that reason, I’ve urged everyone who appears in the video to say “I’m dying” with a simple, matter-of-fact intonation.
